1. What cookies are and what this policy covers

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies, including browser local storage, session storage, pixels and software development kits. In this policy we refer to all of them as "cookies".

This policy explains the categories of cookies used on adplatform.online and in the AdPlatform web application, what each category does, how long it lasts, and how you can accept, reject or change your choices. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. Our approach to consent

• Strictly necessary cookies are used on a legal basis that does not require consent, because the Platform cannot function securely without them.
• Analytics and marketing cookies are used only after you give affirmative consent through our consent banner or preferences panel.
• There are no pre-ticked boxes and no "by continuing to browse you consent" wording; silence or scrolling is not treated as consent.
• Your choice is stored on your device together with the date and time you made it, so we can demonstrate your preference and keep records as required.
• You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the Cookie settings link in the footer or the Open cookie settings button in the Legal Center.
• Denying or withdrawing consent for a category does not affect strictly necessary functionality, and you will not lose access to the Platform because you refused optional cookies.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These keep the Platform secure and working. They are always active and cannot be switched off.

• Authentication and session: keeps you signed in and lets the server recognize your session across requests. Duration: session and up to the lifetime of your sign-in token.
• Security and anti-abuse: supports fraud prevention, rate limiting and protection against cross-site request forgery and automated abuse. Duration: session to 24 months for security logs.
• Cookie consent record: stores which categories you accepted or rejected, and when, so we do not ask you again on every visit. Duration: up to 12 months.
• Load balancing and performance integrity: ensures your requests reach the correct infrastructure and that exposure and points accounting stays accurate. Duration: session.

4. Preference storage

We store a small number of preferences locally on your device, for example your light or dark mode choice and interface settings. These are not used to identify you or to build a profile, and they last until you clear your browser storage.

5. Analytics and performance cookies (optional)

If you allow them, these cookies and equivalent technologies help us understand how the Platform is used: which pages and campaigns are viewed, how visitors move through the Platform, and where errors occur. They are set only after your consent and are used in aggregate. You can turn them off at any time without losing access to the Platform.

6. Marketing and advertising cookies (optional)

If you allow them, these cookies and similar technologies are used to measure the performance of advertising, to cap how often you see the same promotion, and to show you more relevant promotions on and off the Platform. They are set only after your consent. Because this category can involve disclosing information to advertising partners, opting out here is also treated as your "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" request for cookie-based sharing.

7. Third-party cookies

• Payment processing: when you pay or manage a subscription, our payment processor Stripe may set cookies to process the payment, prevent fraud and remember your payment session. See Stripe's own privacy and cookie notices for details.
• Platform infrastructure: our hosting and database providers may set technical cookies required for security, session integrity and content delivery.
• Advertising measurement partners and analytics providers: only where you have consented to the relevant category.
• Destination and landing pages: links in advertisements lead to third-party websites that set their own cookies, which we do not control. Review their policies before using them.

8. How to control cookies

• In the Platform: use Accept all, Reject non-essential or Manage preferences in the consent banner, and change your mind any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
• Browser controls: all major browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core features.
• Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: we honor GPC as an opt-out of sale and sharing where the law requires it, and treat Do Not Track as an opt-out of consent-based advertising technologies.
• Mobile devices: use your device or app privacy settings to limit cross-app tracking.

9. Retention

Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies and stored preferences are kept for the periods stated above, and in any event for no longer than 24 months. Consent records are kept for up to 12 months. You can erase everything at any time by clearing cookies and site data in your browser.

10. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the cookies we use change, and we will ask for fresh consent where the change requires it. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
